For this blog, I had the opportunity to team up with my awesome classmates, Grace McKee and John Baggs, to take you through a day of eats with us while covering the CU vs. Kansas State football game on Saturday! With Grace and John working the game and being deeply involved in CU sports, we wanted to dive into how we, as journalists and fans, approach game day food — from managing the demands of the job of sports coverage, to enjoying the intense atmosphere in the stands.

In this discussion, we reflect on our experiences, sharing all the delicious fan-favorite food that kept us fueled through the long night. While CU sadly didn’t secure the victory, the game was a thrilling experience, and we walked away with some unforgettable memories and some great takeaways from our different areas of experience
